Marjorie Lavinia McKenzie
Memorial services for Marjorie Lavinia McKenzie, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at the New Hope Baptist Church, Peace Valley, Missouri.
Mrs. McKenzie died 7:35 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2013 at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born January 10, 1927 at Leadville, Colorado to George Hall and Elsie R. Paxton Hall. On January 13, 1947, she was married at San Bruno, California to G. C. McKenzie, Jr., who preceded her in death on April 5, 2000. In October of 2013, Mrs. McKenzie became a resident of the Pleasant Valley Manor; she enjoyed playing bingo, taking walks, reading large print books and was a volunteer at the Ozarks Medical Center. She was a long time member of the New Hope Baptist Church having served as the card lady for the church.
She is survived by three children, Judi Long, husband, Charles, Deming, Washington, Dennis R. McKenzie, wife, Janyce, Everett, Washington and Jenifer Collins, husband, Jeff, Birch Tree, Missouri; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, one daughter, Jill Ziegler, one grandson, Josh Cook, two sisters and two brothers, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, West Plains Public Library or Pleasant Valley Manor Activity Fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Jenifer, we are so sorry to hear about Marge. She was such a sweet person and always had a smile. We love you and Jessica and your families are in our prayers.

What a sweet and thoughtful person Marjorie was. She and Mac were good friends to us while we pastored at New Hope. I will miss the cards that we used to get from her.
