Mary Ruth Fare
Funeral services for Mary Ruth Fare, 86, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Fowler Chapel, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fare died at 7:02 p.m., Sunday, August 19, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 9, 1926, at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Alonzo and Zaylor Ann Sweet Hobbs. On July 21, 1946, she was married in Howell County, Missouri, to Sherman Paul Lester Fare, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2010. Mrs. Fare was well respected, loved and honored by all that knew her. She was a very dedicated and loving wife, mother and granny and was always the first to offer her warm smile and love to her family, as well as to remind them when they were wrong. Granny will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. “We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!” Mrs. Fare was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her two children, Patsy Pounds, husband, Carlos, and Paul E. Fare, wife, Lorrita; two grandchildren, Pamala Sisney, husband, Shannon, Clayborn Fare, and Meagan Bradshaw; two great-grandchildren, Kendra and Chloe Sisney, all of Caulfield, Missouri, where Mr. and Mrs. Fare made their home for over forty years. She is also survived by five brothers, Alonzo Hobbs, Jr., Jerry Hobbs, wife, Linda, L.Z. Hobbs, wife, Betty, Billy Hobbs, wife, Julie and J. D. Hobbs, wife, Lorene; one sister, Bonnie Hobbs Fare, husband, Ralph; and a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones.
Her parents, husband, and one brother, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Big Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
