Nellene Kay Jewell Rosas Fender
Graveside services for Nellene Kay Jewell Rosas Fender, 68, Hermitage, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2015 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fender passed away at 4:02 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born July 3, 1947, at West Plains, Missouri, to Alvie Ivory Jewell and Nellie Edith Gardner Jewell. Nellene was the last of eight children. She was a minister of the United Christian Ministerial Association since 1976; she loved doing things for the lord, witnessing and preaching the word of God as well as playing the piano and singing spiritual songs. Mrs. Fender was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves her three sons, Silverio J. Rosas Jr., Cottonwood Heights, Utah, Matthew I. Rosas, Independence, Missouri and Christopher L. Fender, Blue Springs, Missouri; a daughter, Julie K. Fender, Gainesville, Georgia; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husbands, five brothers, Charles Alvie Jewell, Freddie Leon Jewell, Emanuel Floyd Jewell, Johnnie Leroy Jewell, Paul Jeffery Jewell and two sisters, Ruby Lorene Strickland and Dimple Louise Jewell, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I am sorry for the passing of Kay. She was such a sweet, kind hearted woman,great mother, grand mother and great grand mother that loved unconditionally. She was always there for me to talk to when I needed her the most.
To the family of Kay you are all in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

She will greatly missed by all of her church family, she always had a song or testimony to give. Kay served God with every breath she took. Her passing is a great loss to the ministry. May the God of Peace be with her family at this very difficult time, and may they rest in the knowledge that she is at home with Her Savior and at rest. Our prayers are for the family of Kay Fender, and our love is always there….forever.
