Nila Jean Splettstosser

Funeral services for Nila Jean Splettstosser, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Splettstosser died at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her home.

She was born April 23, 1937, at Indianapolis, Indiana, to Harold Lawrence Buckley and Eudora Modena Parsons Buckley.  The family moved to Texas while she was still young. Jean went to school in East Texas where she met and married James Splettstosser on January 29, 1955. They settled in Austin, Texas until retirement when they moved to Missouri.   Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Splettstosser; one daughter, Pamela Splettstoesser, West Plains, Missouri; one son, Frederick Splettstosser, State of Texas;  four grandchildren, Cheyenne Montoya, State of Colorado, Shane Bruner, State of Missouri, Chad Birch, State of Texas and Christan Jacoby, State of Texas; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Margaret Gassenmayer, State of Texas.

Her parents, Harold and Eudora Buckley, one daughter Ericka Bell and two brothers, Larry and Robert Buckley, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
