Funeral services for Noble Dean Rhoads, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Rhoads passed away at 10:37 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Ozarks Healthcare.
He was born November 15, 1929 at Windyville, Missouri, to Sylvester and Edna Burriss Rhoads. On September 27, 1952, he was married at Salem, Arkansas to Lola Collier, who preceded him in death June 24, 1975. Mr. Rhoads was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He was a truck driver and enjoyed driving a truck more than anything. He liked to hunt. and enjoyed fishing whenever he had an opportunity. Mr. Rhoads was a man of God, attending church at First Assembly of God in Pomona, Missouri. He loved his family, and his grandkids and great-grandkids were his life.
He is survived by two children, Larry Rhoads and wife, Diana, West Plains, Missouri, and Janice Tackitt and husband, Dave, Pomona, Missouri; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Collins, Kansas City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, six brothers, Ona, Cleo, Marion, Garland, Charles and Kenneth, and two sisters, Lorene and Clovola (Judy), preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Amy Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amy Cemetery or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

I had the pleasure of going to church with Nobel for many years at Trinity Worship Center. He was the sweetest man. I loved listening to his life stories and his jokes. Beautiful man of God. He will be missed, but Heaven is sweeter with him there.
