Opal Grace Holloway
Funeral services for Opal Grace Holloway, 84, Rienzi, Mississippi, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holloway passed away at 2:50 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Mississippi.
She was born January 6, 1934, at Camp, Arkansas, to Hasadore and Pearl Ball Perkins. On April 25, 1951, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Harvey Burl Holloway, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2018. Mrs. Holloway was a seamstress and had worked at a shirt factory in Salem, Arkansas and at Prentiss Manufacturing in Booneville, Mississippi. She enjoyed piecing quilts. She was known as Momma Holloway at the First Apostolic Church of Jumpertown.
She is survived by eight children, Deborah Cleary, Jerry Holloway and wife, Cindy, Helen Holloway, Dorothy Wright and husband, David, Ray Holloway and wife, Anita, Sherie Lambert and husband, Jim, Paul Holloway and Dianna Brown and husband, Brian; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Perkins; one sister, Rita Tutor; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Holloway; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, Bill Holloway, two grandchildren, David and Rena Holloway , one great-grandchild, Myleigh Parker, four brothers and one sister, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the State Line Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to State Line Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
