Pastor Michael Auldon Burgess

Graveside services for Pastor Michael Auldon Burgess, 45, Merryville,  Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olden, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Pastor Burgess went to his eternal resting place on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kimberly Burgess of Merryville, LA; son, Caleb Burgess; daughter, McKinze Burgess Slaton and Cody, all of King George, VA; parents, Danny and Joyce Burgess of West Plains, MO; grandmother, Wanda Burgess of West Plains, MO; sister, Michele Schach and Brian of Springfield, MO; one granddaughter on the way, Eliana and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Burgess, Albert and Betty Drumright.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Burgess, Brian Schach, Rodney Foster, Mike Newberry, Jason Mickey, and Keith Burgess. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Burgess and Kalvin Burgess. 

Visitation and Funeral Services were held at Green Oak Baptist Church on Monday August 16, 2021 with Brother Jerry Hext officiating the service.  Pallbearers were Ricky Tucker, Jerry Ingle, Joe Bowman, David Ader, Alejandro Pajares and John LeMaire.  Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Edmondson, Greg Whittington and John Bowman.

The family has requested that everyone wear masks and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation towards Michael’s medical bills in care of Green Oak Baptist Church at 4976 Hwy. 389, Merryville, LA 70653.  Local arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
