Patrick McFarland
Funeral services for Patrick Eugene McFarland, 94, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 18, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. McFarland passed away at 8:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at West Vue Nursing Center.
He was born April 27, 1923, at Monette, Arkansas, to Ed McFarland and Lily Fella McFarland. Mr. and Mrs. McFarland passed away while Patrick was a young boy; he was thereafter raised by Harry and Mae Collins of Sturkie, Arkansas. On February 24, 1943, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Opal Faye Hoglen, who preceded him in death on January 12, 2016. Mr. McFarland was a retired veteran, having served with the United States Navy. He enjoyed cooking, travelling, playing bingo, listening to bluegrass music and gardening; he loved visiting with people. Mr. McFarland attended Curry Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Bubash and husband, Jim, St. Louis, Missouri, Donna Kipp and husband, Dale, Van Buren, Missouri, and Sheila McFarland, West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kelly Dirks and husband, Brad, Kim McCabe and husband, Jerry; Karen Ciminelli and husband, Phil, Nicole Pyrtle and husband, Merlin, Danielle Conner and husband, John, Amber Wages and husband, Phil and Ashley Romans and husband, Calvin; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Veila Phelps, Porterville, California.
His parents, wife and four brothers, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Moody Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Honor Tour, P. O. Box 694, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902 or may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Our love and condolences to all of you as you mourn. He was such a gentleman and I am so grateful to have seen him again at Sam and Cherie’s wedding. May his memory be a blessing to you always.
