Porter Albin
Funeral services for Forest Porter Albin, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Faith Assembly Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Albin died at 5:39 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 5, 1926, at Crider, Missouri, to Emery Lorraine Albin and Lucy Evaline Zumwalt Albin. On September 27, 1958, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Mary Maxine. Mr. Albin worked for many years for Cloud 9 Ranch, Caulfield, Missouri. He enjoyed rural life and owned a number of registered quarter horses; in his later years, he became fond of antiques and amassed a sizeable collection. Mr. Albin was a long-time member of Faith Assembly Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary Maxine Albin; two children, Craig Dean Albin and Kelli Jean Albin, both of West Plains; two brothers, Glen Zumwalt Albin and wife, Fern, Mineral Wells, Texas and Dennis Ray Albin and wife, Lois, Litterberry, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, four sisters, Ula Nadine Albin, Evalena Albin, Doris Melinda McGregor and Blanche M. Wright and two brothers, Charles Benton “Shorty” Albin and Ralph James Albin, precede him in death.
Mr. Albin will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ledbetter Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Christian Academy Scholarship Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I attended Faith Assembly with your family for many years and am a good friend of Brenda’s. I have heard all through the years of what a wonderful, kind man Porter was.
