Robert Charles (R. C.) Davidson

Funeral services for Robert Charles (R. C.) Davidson, 71, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Bakersfield Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  

Mr. Davidson passed away at 9:09 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at Evelyn’s House, Creve Coeur, Missouri.  

He was born April 17, 1950 at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Luther Davidson and Lena DeBoard Davidson.  He graduated from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1969.  On July 1, 1972, he was married at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Marcille Hall.  Mr. Davidson enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming.  He also enjoyed the Missouri Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals.  He was a member of the Bakersfield Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Marcille, of the family home; four children, Lisa Kirkland and husband, Michael, Caulfield, Missouri, Bobby Daivdson and wife, Rebecca, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Jeannie McGahan and husband, John, Willow Springs, Missouri, and Corey Davidson and fiancé, Bry, Bakersfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, John McGahan, Ethan McGahan, Sadie Davidson, Kylea Davidson, Brock Davidson, Bentlee Fisher, Ella Davidson, Charlotte Davidson, Jacob Davidson, Joe Davidson, and Brenner Amburgy; one great-grandchild, Stella McGahan; two sisters, Marilyn Barton and husband, Randall, Peace Valley, Missouri, and Shirley Belt and husband, Ray Gene, Caulfield, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Frank Carroll; one sister-in-law, Ina Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, three brothers, Alferd, Ray, and Rudy Davidson, and two sisters, Lucille Pettyjohn and May Carroll preceded him in death.  

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Bakersfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Bakersfield Cemetery or Paragould Children’s Home and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
