A Memorial service for Robert Dean Washington, 79, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 1, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mr. Washington died at 11:19 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at his home.

He was born January 13, 1935, at West Plains, Missouri, to Edward Hudson Washington and Ellen J. Barr Washington. On June 24, 1961, he was married in the State of Illinois, to Joan Ann Davis. Mr. Washington earned an Associate's Degree from St. Louis University and was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. Before his retirement he was a manufacturing manager at Union Camp Corporation. Mr. Washington was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Washington, of the family home; two children, Robert Dean Washington, Jr., wife, Blandine and Craig Dean Washington, wife Katharine; three grandchildren, Ian, Evan and Eric Washington; and one brother, Eugene Washington.

His parents and one brother, Glen Washington, precede him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
