Robert Douglas “Bob” Corwin
Funeral services for Robert Douglas “Bob” Corwin, 87, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Corwin died at 7:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1925, at Joliet, Illinois, to Edgar James Corwin and Anna Mildred Slawson Corwin. He married Lois Abbott, who preceded him in death on April 14, 1982. On August 16, 1986, he was married at White Church, Missouri, to Dorothy Sciba. Mr. Corwin was a veteran having served in the United States Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, he was a Field Representative for the Social Security Administration. Mr. Corwin was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he served on the church council for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Corwin, of the family home; six children, William Edgar “Bill” Corwin, wife, Lynn, of the State of Florida, Jeffrey Corwin, Houston, Missouri, Barbara Foster, husband, David, Houston, Missouri, Amy Keith, husband, Gary, Marshfield, Missouri, Sarah Dinwiddie, Aurora, Missouri, and Dale Wiebe, wife, Sandra, State of Florida; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Douglas, State of California; and one niece and one nephew.
His parents, first wife, one daughter, Daria Lynn Kelly and two brothers, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Cemetery or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I remember Bob well as a Social Security Co worker. He was a very pleasant and helpful person and I am very sorry to know that he has passed. I really appreciated how he helped new employees and people in general.

Dorothy, I am so saddened by the loss of Bob. He was always a special friend and co-worker. He was a wonderful mentor and role-model. I will remember the good times and hope you can know God’s grace.
