Roy Earl Ward
Private services were held for Roy Earl Ward, 88, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Ward passed away at 10:05 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
He was born December 15, 1929, at Moko, Arkansas, to Anderson Ward and Elsie Busbey Ward. On September 22, 1948, he was married at Hardy, Arkansas, to Hilda “Jean” Gunn. Before his retirement, Mr. Ward was employed with the International Shoe Factory. He enjoyed hunting, working and horseback riding. Mr. Ward was a member of West 160 Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Jean Ward; two children, Barbara Martin and husband, Jeff and Rick Ward; five grandchildren, Candace Nash and husband, Jim, Jason Langston and fiance’ Francis Vincent, Justin Langston and wife, Angie, Vaughan Ward and spouse, Amanda and Anderson John Ward and wife, Christina; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Margene Kinder and Peggy Upton; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, three brothers, Cletus, James and Vernon Ward and six sisters, Ruth Forester, Oleva Cawvey, Edna Moline, Marlene Ward, Darlene Hankins and Patsy Ward, preceded him in death.
Burial was in the State Line Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to State Line Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
