Oh Sammy, You are the youngest of the immediate descendants born & raised within 25 miles of the Old Ford Homeplace. That being, you were given the torch of being the last to carry Grandpa’s inside family joke that has lasted some 65 yrs plus of “You’re just an old Wa Wa”. Now there are only two of us left that even know where that came from & understand it’s meaning. I can hear your big ole snicker & grin when I say as you toss that torch backwards, I’m ducking and it will land on the noggin of Sharon Lynn. You are from the mold of one of a kind and I’m gonna miss you dearly Cuz. May GOD bestow his mercy upon you.

Sincere condolences to the Maynard Family. I went to high school with Sammy when times were very simple and fun, i cherish those memories with you in shop class and beyond. I recall the fun and mischief we had like yesterday. Sammy etched the hearts of all he met, even the shop class teacher who paddled him lol. His Kindness, Humor and Love for others was contagious. Thank You for investing into all the people who knew you and making this World a better place. Heaven is rejoicing, You were truly a one of a kind gift from God. You are missed by so so many, Much love and respect to his family as they transition from grieving into a celebration of life of this wonderful person Sam Maynard
