Shirley Mae Collins

Funeral services for Shirley Mae Collins, 73, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins passed away January 28, 2025, at her home wrapped in the arms of love and surrounded by her family.
She was born September 17, 1951, in West Plains, to the late Carl Morgan and Martha Mae Yocham Morgan-Weaver. After losing her father when she was four years old, Shirley and her siblings lived everywhere from California to Florida, before their mother decided to come back to West Plains. On October 8, 1966, she was united in marriage to Vern Collins and to this union they added two daughters. Vern and Shirley began their journey together of but humble beginnings. They worked hard. They worked together and provided a life for their girls to be proud of. They instilled the value of earning your own keep and living within your means. Shirley worked at Marathon Electric for nearly twenty years. She later went to work at the Holiday Inn Express at the front desk. It was a job that she truly loved. She also volunteered to serve on the board for the Pumpkin Center Fire Department for several years. She loved sitting on the porch visiting with family and enjoyed going to country music concerts. And, oh how she loved her politics. Her daughters and most of her grandchildren have made their homes within four miles of her. This in and of itself shows that the life she built for her family was a good one.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Vern; two daughters, Lisa Boone and husband, Dave and Carla Falwell and husband, Michael; three grandchildren, Lynsey Sullivan and husband, Cameron, Nathan Boone and wife, Kialy and Kimberly Driskell and husband, Eric, five great-grandchildren, Larsen Sullivan, Tanner Sullivan and Rylee, Sydnee and Baylee Driskell; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, her step-father, Walter (Buck) Weaver, two granddaughters, Shawntae Wells and Christina Falwell, her beloved grandson, Shawn Wells, three brothers, Carl (Eddie) Morgan, Michael Joe Morgan and Timmy Morgan, one sister, Paula (Kay) Wake; and her lifelong best friend, Linda Jackson, preceded her in death.
Burial will be in Collins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pumpkin Center Fire Department and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
