Shirley Marie (Napier) Smith
Funeral services Shirley Marie (Napier) Smith, age 77, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith died peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was born to Charlie Michael Napier and Norma Rebecca (Havin) Napier on November 4, 1935 in Delaware, Shannon County, Missouri. She spent her early years in Thomasville, Rover, and West Plains, Missouri where she met James Lamar Smith. They were married on July 21, 1957. They moved often as Lamar advanced in the telephone business, living in many places in Missouri including Shelbina, Jefferson City, and Kansas City and Lenexa, Kansas before settling in Tulsa. Shirley picked up painting soon after graduating from West Plains High School and enjoyed her hobby for most of her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Shirley was a strong Christian and shared her faith with anyone she met. She was also very proud of her Scottish heritage and her extended family was especially dear to her.
Shirley is survived by her husband Lamar; two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Christy Smith, Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Eric and Leanne Smith, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Katelynn, Garrett, and Wyatt Smith.
The family will receive their friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Lamar & Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss but know that it is Heaven’s gain. We know you will miss Shirley very much but pray that God will comfort you as only he can do.
We are so sorry that we will be unable to attend the funeral.

So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. She will truly be missed. I enjoyed visiting with her when we met at the telephone meetings at Hillbilly Junction…..Deepest sympathy to her family.
