Lt. Compton was my immediate supervisor before I retired from the Florida Highway Patrol. He was the champion of his sergeants and troopers and was respected by all. His death is a tragedy. God welcome him home.

I’ve known Steve since I was a kid. I grew up in the patrol and I held the upmost respect for him. Steve had a great sense of humor and would always look out for me as I toiled through the wild teenage years. Thank you for being a good friend and someone I could look up to.
