Graveside services for Veda Kathryn Morrison, 92, Overland Park, Kansas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery, Salem, Arkansas, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morrison passed away at 9:18 a.m., Monday, November 2, 2020, at Leawood Gardens Senior Living, Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born July 28, 1928, at Salem, Arkansas, to Kergil Arvest York and Lois Ardell Montgomery York. On August 5, 1950, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Clyde Orgil Morrison, who preceded her in death on July 21, 2008. For many years, Mrs. Morrison was a Realtor in Springfield, Missouri. She was a hard worker and in her free time she enjoyed painting and crocheting. She and her husband enjoyed their flower gardens together. Veda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Church of Christ and lastly attended Sunset Church of Christ, Springfield, Missouri.
She is survived by four children, Tom Morrison and wife, Jill, Springfield, Missouri, Torrey Morrison Sidney, Nebraska, Tim Morrison and wife, Lindsey, Kansas City, Missouri and Tammie Summers and husband, Bill, Minneapolis, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald York and wife, Robin and K. A. York, all of West Plains; one sister, Irene Sanderson, Salem, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, three brothers, Avril, Doyne and Doyle York and two sisters, Joy McBurnett and Jean Payne, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
