Virginia Lee Leitner
Funeral services for Virginia Lee Leitner, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leitner died at 11:34 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born March 30, 1930, at Thomasville, Missouri, to Charles Layton Green and Nancy Perkins Green. She was married to Ward Leitner. Mrs. Leitner held an Associate’s Degree and had been employed in the medical field as a nurse. She was a loving and understanding mother and grandmother; one who loved children and will be missed by many. Mrs. Leitner was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two children, Cindy Comstock, West Plains, Missouri and Ward Leitner; five grandchildren, Brandy Johnson, husband, Paul J. Johnson, Justin Comstock, Trista Decker, Julian Comstock and Renita Decker; three great-grandchildren, Valley, Emma and Lydia; one brother, Phillip Green, wife, Virginia; special friend, Jesse Davis, Okeechobee, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, Faron Wayne, one brother and three sisters, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2012 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Cindy and Ward, I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I worked with her at West Vue Nursing Home when i was 18 and she taught me everything i know. The residents loved her, she was so caring and compassionate. I loved her so much. i know she’ll be missed. Love, Shelly Wheeler

So sorry for your loss Cindy but it is for the best. I t is always hard when we loose a parent but there is no more pain. As I don’t get out much my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Cindy & Ward, We are so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. Know that you are not alone in your grief.
