Wayne Dwight Stubbs

Graveside services for Wayne Dwight Stubbs, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021 at Gospel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Mr. Stubbs passed away at 6:15 a.m., Monday, April 26, 2021, at Brooke Haven Healthcare. 

He was born June 24, 1935, at Siloam Springs, Missouri, to Zeke Stubbs and Minnie Collins Stubbs.  On March 24, 1961, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Dorothy Fox, who preceded him in death on June 20, 2020.  Wayne and Dorothy shared fifty-nine years of marriage.  Before his retirement, Wayne worked at Amyx Manufacturing for forty-one years. He enjoyed working in his garden and tinkering with mowers. Wayne always had candy and loved to talk about the good old days.

He is survived by three children, Gary Stubbs and wife, Tamara, Gail Colvin and husband, Steve and Greg Stubbs and wife, Marion; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Zachary, Geoffery and Brandon; six great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Elvis Fox; one sister-in-law, Faye Fox; special niece, Rhonda Hollingshad; several nieces and nephews; and his special little dog, Nicki. 

His parents, wife, four brothers and three sisters, preceded him in death. 

Mr. Stubbs will lie in state from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Hill Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
