Shocked at the news that Zelda had passed away and did not realize that she was sick. LeRoy, Anita, and Michael, I am sorry for your loss. Zelda was your ‘rock’ and so truly loved. May God comfort you and lead you through all the good memories of her life as you celebrate her life in the services today and days to come. Remember Carrie’s words, LeRoy, one day at a time or one hour at a time in your grief. Love and hugs for everyone.

I am so sorry for your families loss of a wonderful women. Zelda was my son’s kindergarten teacher I believe the year of 1993. She was wonderful to him and he always took an apple to her almost every day. After we moved to West Liberty Ia. he kept in contact with her with an occasional letter for a short while. But little boys find other pursuits and his time became limited. He never forgot her and has always considered her his favorite teacher of all time because he would say ” she treated me like I really mattered and like a mom would and her smiles were real.” I know God has a very special place in heaven for her. May God give you comfort in your time of sorrow.
